LAH DAH DAH COLLECTIVE
Micah and Victoria, friends since high school, started Lah Dah Dah Collective after they successfully completed a year-long songwriting venture pretending to write for Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Lana Del Rey, T-Swift, and more. Their venture which began with no strings attached after the year was finished, revealed a rare musical relationship between the two that can be described as authentic, intuitive, and catchy AF. This inspired Micah and Victoria to establish Lah Dah Dah Collective and maintain their writing weekends in Micah’s one bedroom apartment, made known to them as Milly’s Westwood Villa (the annoyed upstairs negativebor).
Micah and Victoria added "collective" to maintain their collaborative spirit and mission of writing for and with other artists. Lah Dah Dah writes original music and songs for film, TV, and radio. They currently write for Arkival Music, a production music catalog and subsidiary of Eternal Music Group.

Victoria Cortez

Victoria Cortez is an enthusiastic singer/songwriter with a love for listening through albums to see what makes them fun and how different songs draw you in. She minored in music at the University of San Francisco; From attending operas to singing Mariachi, to interviewing jazz musicians at clubs for homework, she eventually delved into the open mic scene to collaborate with other local artists and also practice publicly sharing her own music. She fell in love with producing and the intricacies of recording during her internship at Faultline Studios, and eventually finished her own home project album, “Make Me Smile”, released via Bandcamp. When she’s not writing for the collective, she’s dressing up and jamming out in a #firsttakesonly monthly cover project #12daysofNOTchristmas that can be found on Instagram/Youtube.

Micah Byers
Producer, Multi-instrumentalist, Recording Engineer, Lyricist
Micah Byers is a composer, arranger/songwriter, and educator who learned to read music before he could read words. His career has been a smorgasbord of delightful gigs beginning in 2012 with creating an eerily delightful street-performing character named MrBeforeDawn and music directing for Circus Et Cetera. Dressed in a shabby suit, bow tie, and make-up, Byers plays toy piano and melodica
simultaneously while collaborating with opera singers, jugglers, fire-dancers, and aerialists. He has taken his act to Europe, touring in over ten countries, and playing concerts for thousands at festivals. In 2016, Byers became a resident composer/arranger for Valley Chamber Ensembles, providing original music and arrangements for over 5 programs throughout their 2016-2019 seasons. Byers is an active film composer writing for independent and corporate media. After growing up playing in bands throughout high school and college, he has found his way back to songwriting, this time with an emphasis in writing original songs for media and radio.
